Kind, giving, caring. Im a caregiver so its hard for me to accept compliments or praise. I like to help others, when I can.
Describe Yourself:

Im 5'5" tall, weigh about 235. I was a competetion roller skater and ice skater in my youngerdays. When I stopped being so active I gained some weight. Now im disabled due to Auto immune Disease and Immune disease. I have Arthritis, 2 different kinds, and I have several other illnesses that kind of go along with them. I try to work part time but it is very hard to find a job that I can do with the hours I need. I have a wonderful man in my life (Jerry) and we are very happy together.
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:

Friends, people that can Identify with my illnesses, people that just like to talk and laugh, and can take a few jokes. I love to joke around and try to make light of the situation. I hate being sad and try to avoid it. but it happens.

Peggy - I appreciated your comments re memory loss related to autoimmune disease. I have Lupus and find that when the pain is ac ting up, I can't find the proper words during a conversation, nor remember figures - I'll say $100,000 when I mean $200,000 and have to be corrected. My doc is wonderful and tells me with the pain and the stress I'm doing a great job of keeping it all toether. (I need to be reminded) Also, working is so very difficult. The real estate market is poor right now, I'm a realtor, and the part time job that I've started, to pay for $3.50+ for gas is causing a lot of pain - standing for 4-5 hours at a time. I'm thought of as being a complainer or being totally disabled. You touched some gurrent concerns of mine and thank you for your reflections. Deb in Albany
